Music Composition
There are two types of magic in the world: love and music
Ever since I was really young, I have had a strong passion for music and began playing the piano when I was 6 years old. I also play the guitar, drums, the accordion and, since a couple of years ago, the violin as well. In my late teens, I started to compose my own music and also teach myself the art and craftsmanship of music composition and orchestration. After two years of composition studies at Gotlands Tonsättarskola, and thanks to my own studies, I am able to compose music for the symphony orchestra, rockband, house-music and everything in between.
Merits
In 2013, I wrote the score for the Swedish short film “The Flicker”. As part of my two-year long studies at Gotlands Tonsättarskola, I had the honor of having my music performed by Länsmusiken Gotland, Norrbotten NEO ensemble as well as Uppsala Chamber ensemble, just to name a few. In 2016, my music was nominated for “Best audio design” at the Swedish Game Awards. During the summer of the same year, I wrote the score for the American shortfilm “Noteworthy”, produced as a student-project at the University of California. In January 2018, the mobile game “Fjord Star” was released on Google Play Store in which I composed and produced all music content.
A lifelong hobby
Since a couple of years ago, I have had music and composition as a hobby. While it might have been a dream of mine at a young age to one day be able to have music writing as a full-time job, that dream has given way to a career within the natural sciences. I feel fully at peace with how my life has turned out in this regard, and I plan to keep the music with me as a hobby, and a companion, for the rest of my life.
